Snaps

Laugavegur & Skólavörðustígur

Reserve ahead for this French bistro that's a megahit with locals. The secret of Snaps is simple: serve perfectly cooked seafood and classic bistro mains – think steak or moules frites (mussels and fries) – at surprisingly decent prices. Lunch specials (2000kr) and tempting brunches (11.30am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday) are a big draw too.

Seats fill a lively glassed-in porch and have views of the open kitchen.
