Meat Cove Campground

Cape Breton Island

This is the place if you enjoy camping in the middle of nowhere. The campground sits on a grassy bluff with incredible ocean views: gorgeous on a sunny day, spooky as anything when the fog rolls in. There are basic cabins, plus ample space for camping, with a shared toilet and shower block. You'll need your own gear and bedding.

The Chowder Hut serves simple meals (mains $8 to $15), and there's also a small store.
