Ijs van Co

Gelderland

Discover gourmet artistry at this humble ice-cream parlour in Hoenderloo, a 10-minute stroll from the park entrance. Ijs van Co has been making its smooth, soft and creamy vanilla ice-cream since 1938 and is a local legend, as the line outside the shop attests. Pick from a cone or tub, topped with chocolate balls, nuts, whipped cream or syrup-sweet strawberries.

To get here by bike from the park entrance, follow signs for knooppunt 12. Ijs van Co has no seating, but there are plenty of benches in the small park with bandstand opposite.
