Hôtel Village Vacances Les Sables Blancs

Top choice in Djibouti

Right on the beach, this is a lovely place to chill out for a couple of days. Accommodation is simple (huts with beds and mattresses only) or you can opt for a spacious room with all mod cons in the small hotel at the western tip of the beach. All rooms face the sea. The on-site restaurant (set menus DFr4000) serves up toothsome local dishes.

Kayaks and snorkelling gear are available for hire. One grumble: although it has only 10 rooms, the hotel – a concrete block – feels a bit incongruous in such a scenic setting. Hasna, the manager, speaks very good English.
