At celeb-chef Rick Bayless’ Mexican street-food restaurant (pronounced ‘show-co’) everything's sourced from local farms. Crunch into warm churros with bean-to-cup hot chocolate for breakfast, and crusty tortas (sandwiches, such as the fab mushroom and goat's cheese) and caldos (meal-in-a-bowl soups) for lunch and dinner. It's a fast-casual, order-at-the-counter type ambience, where Latin music blares and the metallic decor gleams.
Excellent margaritas and a small selection of beer and wine accompany the food. Note the entrance is on Illinois St.
