Iew Duh

Shillong

The vast, crowded public market area (bara bazar means 'big market') is one of the most animated shopping areas in the Northeast. You'll reach it about 1.75km west of the big Police Bazar roundabout along GS Rd. Thousands of Khasi tribespeople flock in from their villages, selling everything from baskets and handcrafted arrows to bamboo fish traps and edible frogs.

Butchers have particularly arresting displays of animal entrails.
