You can also book your group for retreats, to visit the Way of the Cross or other religious activities.Duration: 10 minutesStop At: Navalas Church, VisayasBuilt in 1880, the Navalas Church is the oldest roman catholic church and the only existing heritage church in the Island of Guimaras . The architecture of this quaint church is reminiscent of the Jaro Cathedral in Iloilo, which is due to Guimaras being a vista of Jaro during the Spanish period.Duration: 15 minutesStop At: Roca Encantada, Guimaras Island, VisayasOne of Guimaras ’ famous landmarks is the summer house of the Lopez Clan built atop a hill, also known as Roca Encantada or “Enchanted Rock”. The house was built in 1910 in honor of Dona Presentacion Hofilena Lopez. Suprisingly despite the modern exterior, the idyllic mansion is a “heritage house” as declared by the National Heritage Institute.Duration: 15 minutesStop At: Guimaras WINDMILL co Sumbing Family by CORAThe 54MW wind farm will be located in the Municipality of San Lorenzo, Guimaras, along the Guimaras Strait. These monks follow the rule of St. Benedict and are best known for the extreme austerity or strictness that characterizes their discipline.Duration: 30 minutesStop At: National Mango Research and Development Center, Guimaras Island, VisayasThe mangoes of Guimaras Island are certified free of mango seed and pulp weevils and other pests due to NMRDC’s extensive research and support of its fruit production. It is also the only province in the country that is capable of exporting high-quality mangoes to the United States and Australia. Its mission is to spearhead the development and adoption of cost effective or environment friendly technologies, transform the disaggregate industry into a well-managed system and enhance exportation.Duration: 20 minutesStop At: Guisi Lighthouse, Guimaras Island, VisayasThe Guisi Lighthouse is an 18th century Spanish-colonial lighthouse built beside the beach. It was built to guide mariners passing the Iloilo and Guimaras strait. The lighthouse can be reached by following a light trail. The 15-minute uphill trek to the Guisi Lighthouse also provides a great view of the beach. At the top of the hill are the ruins of a Spanish-colonial outpost and the rotting remains of the metal lighthouse structure.
