Enjoy a great 4-day tour exploring the magic of Cusco and visiting Machu Picchu, the land of the Incas. Your tour includes transport and accommodation.
Day 1: Cusco City TourUpon arrival to Cusco, you'll be transferred to the hotel and have free time to rest and adapt to the altitude. In the afternoon, your city sightseeing tour begins with the Temple of the Sun (Koricancha), and continues with the archeological site of Sacsayhuaman. This enormous place was strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco and is famous for its carved stones, some of which stand at 30 feet (9 meters) tall and weigh around 350 tons. Day 2: Tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas Today, take a tour of the Sacred Valley, visiting the archaeological site of Pisac and the colorful Andean market and church. After visiting Pisac, you'll travel past Lamay and Calca, and arrive in Urubamba town for lunch. After having lunch, you will continue with tour visiting Ollantaytambo town, where you will see its typical streets. Finally, you will visit the picturesque Andean village of Chinchero, home to Tupac Inca Yupanqui Palace. Day 3: Machu Picchu Very early in the morning, you'll be picked up from the hotel to take the bus to the train station located in Ollantaytambo. You will take the tourist train to Aguas Calientes which is a 1.5-hour ride. During the journey you will see the Urubamba canyon, Urubamba River, and the snow-capped peaks of the Veronica Mountain. Once you reach Aguas Calientes, you will be contacted by the guide to take the bus and climb the citadel of Machu Picchu which takes about 20 minutes. Then, you will have a guiding visiting around this magical citadel and appreciate the Inca architecture. You will see the main plaza, the circular tower, the sacred sundial (the most important preserved Intihuatana), the royal quarters and more. The time spent at Machu Picchu is 2.5 hours approximately. After the guided visit, you can go back to Aguas Calientes to take the train of back to Cusco.Day 4: End of tourYou'll have breakfast at the hotel and be transferred to the airport.
