Hot springs and mud baths will help soothe aching bones and can be found in the hamlet of Llanguat, reached by a 45-minute (22km) drive from Celendín. Like at a lot of Peruvian springs the water here is brown. There is a public pool along with some private pozos (baths).
To get there on public transport, take a 7am combi (minibus) from the Plaza de Armas (S6, 45 minutes). It returns around noon.
