After passing through the town of Maras we go to Moray where the agricultural laboratory is located, which is considered as a magnetic center of the Pachamama where we will have a guided tour of 40 minutes. After the guide in Moray we will take our mobility to go for 30 minutes to go to the salt mines "salineras" we will have a guided tour of approximately 1 hour and we will have time to do some shopping for bags of salt or some souvenir items. We will return by the same route until Cusco, approximate arrival time is arrival 3:00 p.m. Duration: 7 hoursLocation: Salinas de Maras, Maras, Cusco RegionThe Humantay Lagoon hike is a full day trip from Cusco that allows our guests to become fully immersed into the high Andes. Departing from Cusco at 4:30am we will drive two hours to Mollepata town where we will have a delitious breakfast in a cozy restaurant surrounded by idyllic views of the andean mountains. Continuing the trip we drive one hour more until we reach the starting point at the andean Community of Soraypampa. From there we begin a 1 1/2 hour trek up to Humantay Lake, located at 4,300 meters (14,107 feet). The Turquoise lake is an absolutely stunning treasure in the Cusco región. Once at the lake guests will have time at leisure for photography and exploring the surrounding área and if you dare, take a dip in the glacial waters! We will then make our way back down the mountain to Soraypampa and then drive back to Mollepata for a delitious buffet lunch. In the early afternoon we start a two hours drive back to Cusco arriving there around 6:00pm.Duration: 12 hoursLocation: Humantay Lake, Cusco, Cusco RegionBenefit from early morning pick-up at your accommodation in Cusco at around 05:00am, and then journey 2 hours by bus to the train station at Ollantaytambo to take the Expedition Train to Machupicchu. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a guide will be waiting for you at the train station to escort you to the ruins of Machu Picchu by bus. Traveling by minibus, set out on the around 45-minute journey to the Inca city of Tipon. Jump out to explore the vast archaeological site, renowned for its elaborate agricultural terraces and water channels, which offer insight into the engineering marvels of the Incas. After enjoying a glimpse of local life in the valleys, continue the short distance to Pikillacta, home to the only pre-Inca archeological site in the Cusco region. Listen as your guide explains its origins, dating back to the ancient Wari culture, and discover their influence on the Incas as you admire the adobe structures and other ruins. Finally, pay a visit to Andahuaylillas, a magnificent Baroque church renowned for its interior artworks; many sourced from the prestigious the Cusco Religious Art School. As you marvel at the grand interiors, you will understand why it’s been dubbed the ‘Sistine Chapel of the Americas’. After a busy morning of sightseeing, return to Cusco. Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 2pm.Duration: 6 hoursLocation: Tipon, Cusco, Cusco RegionWe will pick you up from your Hotel in Cusco at 4:30 a.m. It is about 3 hour drive in our shared van, during which we will pass through traditional villages and have an amazing view of the Andes. When we reach the starting point of the trail, we will stop for breakfast at a small cozy restaurant. After breakfast we will start the hike from Chillihuani at 4,600 m. From there it will be a 1h 30 minutes uphill hike to reach the famous Rainbow Mountain. Along the way you will have the chance to enjoy an amazing view of the Andes, glacial peaks, red mountains, rocky hills, traditional llamas and alpacas grazing along the valley. Once we arrive at the top of Rainbow Mountain, you´ll have a breathtaking views of the valleys and Ausangate Glacier Peak in front of you. Ausangate is the highest mountain of the Cusco region (just under 21,000 ft) and is part of the Cordillera Vilcanota Range. While you are enjoying the view your guide will provide you with interesting information about the composition of these mountains and how they became striated in the rainbow of colors. Our descent will be for around 1 hour, it is a downhill hike and a delicious, freshly made and hot lunch will be ready for us when we get there. After lunch it would be nice to interact with the locals and then we will start our trip back to Cusco.
