The Inti Raymi or Inca Sun Fest, celebrated on 24th June, was the most important religious ceremony of the Inca Empire in honour of the Sun God (Inti-Sun). It's celebrated on the shortest day of the year in terms of the time between sunrise and sunset (Winter Solstice). The Incas, the priests and all the people pay homage to the Sun God on this day.
Our Inti Raymi tour begins at 8am when we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and we’ll go to the Qorikancha or the Temple of the Sun where the ceremony starts. Then, we will go to the Main Square of the city of Cusco where the second scene will be held and finally it ends with the special or the main scene held in Sacsayhuaman (3km from Cusco city) where you will be transported by our tourist bus. We will enjoy a day full of representations and typical dances while sitting in a comfortable tribune (box lunch included).The tour will end at Plaza de Armas in Cusco.
