For some the limit is 8 thousand meters, 7 thousand for others, but for many to pass the barrier of 6 thousand meters of altitude means to accomplish a life goal. Chachani volcano is a unique opportunity, since reaching its peak is not all complicated, only a proper acclimatization is needed. The views are breathtaking, at times of the year you can even see the Pacific Ocean in the distance! Do not miss this opportunity to climb one of the many peaks that the Andes have.
DAY 1:We pickup hikers from their accoMmodation in a private vehicle. We head to the base of Chachani (5,100m. / 3 hours). Once there we prepare for the climb to the new Inca Base Camp at 5,170m of altitude / 2 hours. Here we set up camp and spend the night. We recommend you to go prepared for the cold as temperatures can drop to zero.DAY 2:Very early, at 4am, we will start hiking. It will take us between 5 to 6 hours to reach the summit (6,075 m.). Here we can see the old crater and the beautiful scenery of the city in the distance. We will stay as long as necessary travelers wants. It is a very good place to connect with the surroundings, rarely in life we have the opportunity to see such spectacular views.The return to the base camp will take only 1 hour and to the transport 1 extra hour. After 2.5 more hours we will be back to Arequipa.
