Heading west and following the Pan-American Highway we will travel around 2:30 hours enjoying the landscape of the interior of Panama to enter "El Valle de Antón, crater of an inactive volcano about 600 meters above sea level that has created the Perfect environment for the reproduction of lush flora and fauna, surrounded by mountains that create a pleasant microclimate with temperatures between 16 ° to 25 ° Celsius. We will visit the waterfall of El Chorro el Macho, the petroglyphs of Las Piedras Pintadas, El Mercado de artesanías or Craft Market where we will have the opportunity to get some local crafts, interact with the locals and enjoy free time for lunch. In the afternoon visit to the agro tourism farm and to the zoo / refuge El Níspero.

As the first stop we will be visiting the natural reserve of Chorro El Macho, cascade in the heart of the forest to which we access through a suspended bridge. After experiencing nature, we will visit Las Piedras Pintadas, which are basically a set of petroglyphs that come from the pre-Columbian age than are still being studied by scientists to decipher their secret messages. Then, we will visit a self-sustainable agro-tourism farm where we will learn about the best practices and agricultural practices of the area.Next, we will make a small stop at the Market of handicrafts and supplies for an excellent opportunity to buy local crafts, also of vegetables and fruits that comes directly from the producer. At this point you will have free time to explore the surroundings on your own and taste your own lunch at one of the local restaurants.After realizing this small but obligatory stop, we are ready to go to the zoo and wildlife refuge, El Níspero that offers a sample of the most exotic Panamanian Orchids and allow us to know very closely to more than 300 bird species, some mammals including the jaguar and amphibian species, among the most prominent one, the famous Golden Frog. Of Course, in this zoo we have some others species that were rescued or rehabilitated to return to their own habitat. After this encounter with nature, we’ll return to the city.
