a friend of mine are starting our travel from panama city. After a tour through Panama the plan was to end in Bocas del Toro, than go to the San Blas Islands to Cartagena. Do we have to go back to Panama City our are there any companies that offer the sails trips in other regions so that we don't have to go all the way back?
We have one month in July and August and are looking to combine Panama beaches and Costa Rican wildlife. Kids are 9 and 11 and want sloth, monkey, lizard and bird time. We love great beaches with snorkelling or easy sand breaks. We may splurge on a surf camp.
Would love suggestions for trip and also family friendly accommodation.
Route A - favour this because cheaper flight and Panama is cheaper
Arrive and depart from Panama City
Travel up pacific coast, stopping in playa venao for a surf camp.

Sorry I have posted this also in Central America and then I saw there is a specific group for Panama.
I want to spend 2 week doing max of nature and good diving in Panama this summer and found this itinerary the consider the pacific cost mostly. Something I should change ?
Can anyone recommend how to find a guide to take 4 people on a hike in the rainforest near Panama City or Colón? I'm travelling from the US, and want to organize this before I head to Panama in a couple of weeks. I'm hoping to take the train from Panama City to Colón, and then go for a hike from there. Any recommendations are really appreciated!
I'll be traveling through Panama in September, and am wondering if there are options for public transportation between the different cities usually visited by tourists. I've seen mention of buses but haven't been able to find any specific info online.
Planning to visit Boquete and really looking forward to it, from what I've read sounds like a really cool place
Wondering how are food and activity prices in Boquete (activities i.e. white water rafting and ziplining - and how do these compare to Costa Rica and Nicaragua)? Plus how easy is it to get to the hiking trails and national parks
Hey all, am planning to visit Bocas del Toro in September for a couple days part of a trip to the wider region
Am staying in Bocas town and was wondering what people thought was best value/most interesting things to do in the islands. I'm aware roughly of the different attractions - the bat cave, the smithsonian station and the various beaches but just wanted to get some opinions.
In addition, is Bocas del Toro quite expensive? I noticed hostels were a bit pricey relatively, just wondering…
I need to rent a car for a couple of weeks in May to travel around the country. How are the roads? Is an SUV necessary? Also, does anyone have a recommendation for a good rental company? Thanks!
My husband and I want to visit Panama. I have a serious and very painful neurological condition, atypical facial pain; thus far, no medications that my neurologist has prescribed have helped. The only thing that does is medical marijuana, which is legal in the (US) state in which I live. I use tincture oil and a vaporizer pen when I am in pain. I understand that Panama has very strict drug laws. Will I be able to bring my medical marijuana with me into Panama? If I can't, I won't be able to…
