Please anyone advise me the best 03 days (or 4) Pakistan Itinerary suitable for a solo female traveller as I'll be crossing Wagah from India so you can consider it's my starting and exit point.
My travelling period would be mid of July.
Appreciate for any suggestion. Feel free to PM me for any guesthouses/restaurants you may want to recommend.
Many thanks in advance.
I am travelling to Pakistan for two weeks- which I am focusing on Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar for first week:
Fly to Gilgit and focus on the mountains on the second week.
I was looking at the night train journey from Lahore to Peshawar (my days are limited so I am thinking of taking a night train)-
has anyone taken this train route? How was it? and is it true that you can buy the tickets online?
Hallo! I will have approx three weeks in Pakistan in July, and want to focus on the mountains/valleys and Lahore.
Reading maps, blogs and forums, and gazing longingly at Instagram accounts, I've cobbled together a rough route and would be very grateful to receive advice on it regarding feasibility and potential pitfalls.
Fly into Islamabad
Lahore (and cross at Wagah into India)
I don't plan on trekking, just taking in the scenery…
Does ATM in Pakistan work to get cash with << overseas >> bank card ?
Wherever I travel, I rely on ATM and credit card while having some cash for emergency back up. But a friend of mine told me that most ATMs are NOT linked with international network. Is it so? I have both Visa card and Master card, so, either Plus or Cirrus will do.
I start from Lahore, then move up north. I plan to get cash in larger cities but if ATM works in small cities, that's really handy.
Thank you in…
Hi, when visiting Pakistan, how do you guys get around from one place to another. Like Lahore to Karachi. I've looked up about recommended bus companies online like Daewoo and Niazi lines but can't really find anything. I've been told not to go alone by many people as it's very hectic. I do speak urdu.
I'm visiting Pakistan in July on the back of a business trip to India and have to wait on my employer to purchase the flights. However, I need to get my Pak visa asap as I am leaving my home country very soon.
I've seen suggestions around that you can book flights, print out the confirmed itinerary, cancel the flight booking, and still submit the itinerary with your visa application.
- Has anyone successfully done this?
- Is it true the embassy can't confirm with the airlines, due to data…
I will travel to pakistan in 15 days. I will go to the nort. I have a visa for 30 days and I want to extend my visa. Is posible to extend in Gilgit? And in Islamabad? Any requirement?
i will travel by public transport from Lahore to Islamabad and Murree and from Lahore via Multan, Sehwan and Hyderabad to Karachi.
Is it safe now to do it in public busses?

Hi all, I recall reading somewhere that the Khunjerab Pass border crossing is not open on the weekend, but now I can't find where I read that. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks in advance
