This path loops through the date palms, ascending and descending the plantation steps in a circuit around the southern part of the village. The experience is one of brilliant sunlight splintering through the trees, lime-green allotments and the sound of water tumbling along the aflaj (irrigation channels).
It has to be said that the walking isn't easy with uneven, slippery steps leading between steeply descending plantation fields. For a gentler experience, a 30-minute shady walk to a nearby spring is one of the few almost-level routes through a mountain village. Follow the yellow, white and red markers from Misfah Guest House until the main water channel and then follow the channel to the spring.
