Getting There & Away

Public 'Mwasalat' buses run from Muscat’s Azaiba Bus Station to Haima every day. There are two routes.

On the longer route (735km, 10 hours, OR6) buses leaves Muscat daily at 11.10am and travel via Duqm. In the other direction, buses leave Haima for Muscat via Duqm (180km, 2 hours from Haima) at 10.30am.

On the shorter route (550km, 6½ hours, OR6) buses leave Muscat daily at 7.10am, 10.10am and 6.25pm and travel via Nizwa. In the other direction, buses leave Haima for Muscat via Nizwa (370km, 4 hours 20 minutes from Haima) at 12.20pm, 4.15pm and 1.20am. Many private Salalah-bound bus companies also use this route.

Despite its location at a major junction between Hwy 31 and Hwy 37, Haima acts only as a pit stop for buses. Your own transport is required, therefore, for any kind of exploration around Haima.
