This enchanting 'hotel' is in fact a small former fishing village on its own islet just off Averøy. Rooms here are 18th- and 19th-century cottages, mostly for doubles though there are a couple with multiple bedrooms, too. Some are more rustic than others, with exposed timber, but all are charming. Ytterbrugga, its restaurant, serves the freshest of fish.
Parking is on the island of Geitøya, on the Atlanterhavsveien, from where a motor boat makes the five-minute sea journey. It leaves the roadside car park on the hour, between 11am and 9pm, or by appointment.
This hotel is located next to the Atlantic Ocean Road on the beautiful island of Håholmen. It offers unique fishing trips, sea safaris and boat cruises. Håholmen Havstuer’s cosy, cabin-style rooms feature free Wi-Fi internet access, wooden floors and a private bathroom. Some are housed in traditional buildings dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. The Silver Bell Pub serves lunch and light meals, while the Ytterbrygga Restaurant specialises in hearty Norwegian seafood. The old bakery café is a pleasant setting for a quiet coffee. Havstuer Håholmen offers cruises and fishing trips on various vessels, including copies of a Viking ship and a traditional 1950s fishing boat. The hotel’s Saga Siglar Hall tells the history of the area and local shipwrecks. Free parking spaces are found on the nearby island, Geitøya.
Please note that free parking spaces are found on the nearby island, Geitøya. From here, a local ferry departs for Håholmen every hour between 11:00 and 21:00 during summer.
