Bitola in detail

Flights & getting there

The bus and train stations are adjacent, 1km south of the centre.

For Greece, go by taxi to the border (500MKD) and then find a cab to Florina. Some Bitola cab drivers will do the whole trip for about 3000MKD.

Buses serve Skopje (470MKD, 3¼ hours, hourly), Kavadarci (300MKD, two hours, three daily) and Ohrid (230MKD, 1¾ hours, four daily).

Heading to Ohrid, a taxi costs 1000MKD, so if four of you can share it's 250MKD per person; only marginally more expensive than getting the bus. Taxi drivers hang around in front of the bus and train stations offering this journey.

There are five trains a day to Skopje (3¼ hours), via either Prilep or Veles. The fare is 314MKD, except the 5.25pm train, which costs 365MKD.
