A breach in an oil pipeline in Montana, has spilled up to 50,000 gallons of oil into the Yellowstone River and surrounding area. Managers of the Bridger Pipeline Company say the spill began on Saturday and initially estimated that only 300 to 1200 gallons of oil had spilled into the area. The pipeline was quickly shut off once the breach was discovered, and officials say ice could help reduce the impact on the local ecosystem. In 2011 an ExxonMobil Corp pipe burst near Laurel, MO, releasing 63,000 gallons of oil into floodwaters. The company is currently facing $3.4 mil in fines for the 2011 spill. Read more:
