Fresh snow will allow Yellowstone National Park officials to open three routes into the park for oversnow travel.

Beginning next week, visitors will be able to head into the park from the north, west and south entrances on commercially guided snowmobile tours, and those who have proper permits can access the park via their own snowmobiles. The announcement signals the beginning of the park’s winter season, with select lodges, restaurants and gift shops open for the colder months.
