Residents of the Australian state of Victoria have been urged to get their fire plans in order now as the bushfire seasons gets an early start.

Over 100 fires sprang up around the state on Tuesday with areas around Melbourne, such as Cobaw, Lancefield, Benloch and Nulla Vale, threatened by an out of control bushfire. Residents in at-risk areas have been put on red alert and are being urged to have any evacuation and safety plans in order as soon as possible. Read more: smh.com.au
