US ski operator Vail Resorts is buying Australian ski resort, Perisher, and hopes to lure skiers the US over Japan and Europe during the northern hemisphere winter. Perisher is Australia’s largest ski resort but like all Australian ski resorts it faces some significant challenges as a result of a changing climate. Now Perisher season pass holders put off by poor ski conditions in Australia will be able to access Vail’s North American resorts with their Perisher pass.
