Four people have been reported dead and 16 missing after Typhoon Mujigae made landfall on Sunday at 2pm.

The typhoon, the 22nd of the year, struck the coastal city of Zhanjiang with violent gales and winds of up to 50m per second. Emergency responses have been elevated as the storm moves northwest gradually losing strength. The typhoon has hit during China’s National Day holiday, a week-long celebration, causing many tourists hotspots to close and many visitors have been forced to change their scheduled plans.
