The Public Works and Transport Ministry has reported that two new landslides have blocked vehicle passage on Route 32, the primary highway connecting San José with the province of Limón.

This sequence of landslides marks the third closure of Route 32 since mid-June, when heavy rains began affecting the region. In light of a forecast indicating more heavy rain, officials from the National Emergency Commission have advised tourists and residents in Limón, eastern Cartago, and northern Heredia to remain alert.
