The Fenwick Treasure is one of the finest collections of Roman jewellery ever to be displayed in the UK. The gold and silver jewellery and coins were stashed in 60AD as the warrior queen Boudicca marched on the city. She burned Colchester, London and St Albans before the Romans crushed her revolt. The stash was found by archaeologists in a box under a department store and will be exhibited in Colchester Castle.
