Tourists at the Huaqing Hot Springs in Shaanxi have been asked to stop taking lewd pictures with a giant statue of Chinese beauty Yang Guifei.

Yang Guifei was known for bathing in the springs, but has now reached a new kind of fame as her topless statue has become the main attraction for the wandering hands of tourists to the site. Staff have posted a sign urging visitors to ‘Take photos in a civilised manner’ but it seems this has largely been disregarded. This is not the first time a statue in China has been treated with such little dignity, a statue of Yu the Great’s Wife was fondled so much that it’s left breast changed colour.
