Tourists picking up rental vehicles in New Zealand will find driver safety information attached to the wheel of their hire cars as part of an initiative to reduce accidents.

Tourism operators are also being asked to play their part in a campaign to improve safety for visiting drivers this summer by giving drivers advice on local road conditions and reinforcing safe-driving messages.
