Thousands of tourists have broken into a prison in southern China to take photos of blossoming peach trees.

A garden on the south side of the prison, located in Guilin in Guangxi province, purportedly began attracting visitors in mid-February because of its rows of peach blossoms. By 20 February, prison guards said more than 10,000 people had flocked to the grounds, many of them jumping fences to get close-up photos and selfies with the pink flowers. Prison officials said that extra restrictions had to be placed on prisoners inside due to the influx of visitors. Read more: shanghaiist.com
