An escaped hippo roams Tbilisi after the deadly floods.

A tiger which had been on the loose in Tbilisi since the deadly floods in Georgia’s capital last month, has been found dead near the zoo from which it had escaped. Director of Tbilisi Zoo, Zurab Gurielidze, said that this was the last animal which was still to be accounted for. It was discovered in mud and debris close to where a man was attacked and killed by another tiger, which was then shot dead by police. At least 19 people died in the floods, which were triggered by torrential rain on 13 June. Read more: civil.ge
