The Tanzania National Park Authority (TANAPA) has reportedly decided to freeze the cost of park entrance fees. The tariffs were due to be raised on 30 June, the first increase since the substantial rate hikes in 2013. It’s hoped the move will boost the tourism industry in Tanzania, which has been hurt by fallout from West Africa’s Ebola outbreak and the travel advisories in neighbouring Kenya.
