Taiwan’s highest peak, Yushan, will be closed to visitors throughout January. Yushan National Park, which is Taiwan’s largest national park, has been closed by the national park administration to allow the area’s wildlife and ecology to rest from the impact of annual visitors.

Yushan peak is popular with trekkers and hikers, but is impassable in January due to the weather conditions. The park will be open again as usual in February. Read more: focustaiwan.tw
