The latest Red List from the International Union for the Conservation of Nature has revealed that Spain has more than 550 at risk species, the highest number in Europe and twice as many as the next country on the list. This includes the Iberian lynx, the world’s most endangered feline, which currently suffers a 1 in 10 road death rate out of a possible population of 332. The report named Greece has having 286 at risk species, Italy 276 species and Portugal 254 species. Read more: thelocal.es
