Tourists will be able to visit all of the royal palaces in Seoul for free throughout the month of July. The city’s Cultural Heritage Administration announced that admission fees, which normally range from ₩1,000-3,000 (US$0.90-2.60), would be waived to boost tourism in the wake of the MERS outbreak.
Palaces open as part of the scheme include the city’s grandest royal palace Gyeongbokgung, as well as Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung and Deoksugung, the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty and the Jongmyo shrines. Read more: english.chosun.com
