
Museums across both China and Taiwan have begun banning selfie sticks. The extendable camera arms have become increasingly popular with travellers in the region, but museums say they are a potential danger to visitors and museum objects. In China, major provincial museums including in Nanjing and Wuhan, have banned the sticks, while in Taiwan four major museums have introduced a ban: the National Palace Museum, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, the Taipei Fine Arts Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts in Kaohsiung.
