A soaring 'SkySpire' is the latest suggestion being put forward as part of the redevelopment of the San Diego waterfront. The Florida company behind the plan say that the SkySpire will be similar to the famous Seattle Space Needle, but in addition, it would also have gondolas spiralling around the tower.
An earlier proposal to build a a massive ferris wheel has been criticized because it poses a potential threat to aircraft. No date has been set for a final decision on the redevelopment. Read more: fox5sandiego.com
