Russia may extend the visa-free regime already enjoyed by tourist groups from China to those from Brazil, India and South Africa as fellow members of the BRICS group of countries, according to President Vladimir Putin.
Once Russia abolished visas for Israel, visits from this country doubled, while visits from Turkey grew by 41%. In the first quarter of 2015, the largest number of tourists to Russia came from China, followed by Turkey and Israel. The devaluation of the Russian rouble over the past 12 months also makes Russia more attractive as a tourist destination. Read more: skift.com
