Air New Zealand is getting behind the government push to share road safety information with international passengers prior to arriving in New Zealand.

The airline has today announced the release of two in-flight initiatives: a Driving in New Zealand app using the inflight entertainment system and a series of short videos highlighting New Zealand road rules and giving an in-depth guide to driving here. The videos available in English, Chinese, French and German. The percentage of foreign drivers involved in accidents on NZ roads has been a major road safety concern for the government and for NZ citizens who has at times taken matters into their own hands confiscating car keys from tourists not obeying the rules.
