
Railway services across Scotland have been suspended and thousands of homes left without power after storms hit the country. Gusts of over 100mph - in some cases the highest ever recorded - affected the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, and the Forth Road Bridge was closed to traffic. High winds and heavy rain are forecast. No ScotRail trains were running at all on Friday morning.
