The Qiantang River near Hangzhou in eastern China will see its biggest tidal bore for years in September.
The river and bay are known as having the world's largest tidal bore, a phenomenon where tidal waves travel upriver. This year's largest bore will fall on 30 September, when waves are expected to reach two metres in height. Read more: wantchinatimes.com
