Climate-change activists have chained themselves together on the northern runway at London’s Heathrow airport, causing flight delays and cancellations.
The demonstrators are protesting against runway expansion, after a recent government-commissioned report recommended that the airport build a third runway. The group – one of them dressed as a polar bear – cut through a perimeter fence at 3.30am. Read more: theguardian.com
