Road signs in Soho and the South Bank have been given ornate, made-to-measure frames by a guerrilla artist.
The framemaker has previously put frames around signs in Teddington, southwest London, but the new frames, on Lexington Street in the West End and Jubilee Gardens by the London Eye, are the first to have been put up in central London. They were erected at night and more could follow. ‘We want to bring attention to the craft of framing,’ says the framemaker. ‘We do that by putting frames around things you wouldn’t normally put them around, in places you wouldn’t normally put them, so people notice the frame more than they would normally.’ Read more: standard.co.uk
