The house that inspired JM Barrie to write Peter Pan is to become a centre for children’s literature and storytelling. The Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust has received a £1.78 million grant from the UK’s Heritage Lottery fund, taking it closer to its £5 million target. The house, in Dumfries, was home to Barrie’s childhood friends when he was at school nearby. It will host an exhibition space, a shop and cafe, and education facilities. Read more: bbc.co.uk
