Idaho Fish and Game officials have released historical footage of some quirky wildlife management that went on over half a century ago.

A video named ‘Fur of the Future’ details an era in the 1940s when the Idaho Fish and Game was struggling with an overpopulation of beavers. The agency decided to capture the rodents, pack them in boxes and then drop them via parachutes into areas where the beavers could prosper without harming the ecosystem. It appears all the animals made it through the relocation programme unharmed. Read more: nypost.com
