While the California city kept its mild weather, the panda family at San Diego Zoo received more than 16-tonnes of snow.

The zoo had snow blown into the panda exhibit as an “enrichment item”, a donation to keep the animals stimulated and to show off their natural behaviours, according to NBC San Diego.
Donors can give funds to the zoo's “animal wish list” which provides different gifts to the animals, like the weekend's snow.

The panda family in San Diego is comprised of mother Bai Yun, father Gao Gao and their son Xiao Liwu.
Amusing footage of the pandas enjoying their present was posted to YouTube and Vine, with some video of a panda sliding and falling.
