Chinese entertainment company Golden Bean Group have announced plans for a Disneyland-like amusement park in Lahore, the first modern theme park to be built in Pakistan.

Construction costs for the theme park and aquarium will top Rs 36 billion (US$341 million), part funded by the government of the state of Punjab. Some locals have responded angrily to the proposal, which would cost more than Lahore’s citywide Metrobus mass transit system. Read more: dawn.com
