
Archaeologists working in Bavaria, Germany, dug up a tasty piece of history in the form of a 250-year-old pretzel, thought to be the world’s oldest. Experts working on the excavation say the reason the iconic Bavarian treat survived so long was because it was burnt, and have concluded that its baker simply threw it away.
