
Organisers of the world-famous Christ Child Christmas Market in Nuremberg, Bavaria, are said to be 'up in arms' over plans by the Saxon state government to give away free bratwurst at this year's event. The stunt is aimed at promoting tourism to the region under the tagline 'That's the Saxon way' but local market-stallholders are angry at the prospect of having to compete with free ‘out-of-state’ wurst at one of the busiest times of year.
