Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi’s team have used a wind breaker decorated with a Fleur de Lis (the iconic lily of Florence) to protect the modesty of Jeff Koons’ Gazing Ball statue in an attempt to avoid offending crown prince Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who is visiting from Abu Dhabi.

The sensuous work, which was created by Koons in 2013 and features a classical-style nude and a mirrored blue sphere, is on temporary display in Florence’s Palazzo Vecchio. It is not known whether the statue was covered at the request of the Sheikh's team or out of caution by the Renzi’s staff. Read more: thelocal.it
