The New York attorney general released a report on Thursday outlining the state’s stance on Airbnb, the popular room rental and sharing service. According to the report, 72% of Airbnb listings violate laws that typically apply to hotels. The report claims business operators run over a third of the listings, not individuals, and some of these operators are managing what are essentially ‘illegal hotels’ that don’t follow hotel laws and regulations.
